Business Teacher Job Description

SiasU is seeking a passionate Business Teacher to join our faculty. They will be teaching for our Kansas International School. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business education, excellent communication skills, and a dedication to fostering a stimulating learning environment. Responsibilities include preparing and delivering engaging lectures, conducting assessments, and mentoring students to help them achieve their academic and professional goals.

 

Details:

  • Prepare lectures and discussions for classes of 70 students on average.
  • Courses taught include business communication, operations management, human resource management, marketing, and financial management.
  • The full-time teaching load is 12 class hours a week and 2 hours office hours to meet with students. Providing ample time for preparation.  Textbooks and other resources, including supervision, are provided.
  • Responsible for grading, assessment, examination, and school requirements.

 

 

Apply for Fall Jobs by June 1st (but the earlier you apply the more likely you will get a job offer).

 

Qualifications: You don't have to have formal teaching experience. This is a great opportunity for those who would love to travel, mentor, and touch lives in China through teaching.

Monetary Benefits

Salaries start from 7,500-12,000 RMB ($1,175-$1,875 USD) a month depending on degrees attained. Every year teachers get a raise and signing a 3-year contract after the first semester gives teachers a 16.7% raise.

 

Professional Requirements:

  • BA Degree and TEFL Certificate recognized by the Chinese government or BA/BS Degree and 2 years teaching experience. Higher salary for higher degrees. FYI, if you don't have a TEFL certificate, that's not a problem. We will email you details about how this can be attained.
  • Professional or informal teaching experience preferred.  
  • The desire to interact in a cross-cultural setting.  
  • Willingness to learn and develop teaching with excellence.

  • Ability to work with a myriad of people from different cultures and backgrounds.
