The Minister of Worship and Creative Arts is a spiritual and organizational leader who oversees
the worship ministry of Hilltop Family Church. Oversight of the worship ministry includes, but is
not limited to, working alongside our Lead Pastor to craft a Sunday morning environment that is
creative, done with excellence and relevant to our everyday lives; developing and nurturing a
team of individuals that will use music and the arts throughout the organization with the purpose
of creating opportunities for people to take a next step toward Jesus; and to balance the needs
of an older generation while making inroads to the next generation through contemporary
worship music.
Responsibilities
Spend time developing relationships and investing in the worship and tech teams.
All tech and A/V systems management and development
Planning, prep, and execution of all worship opportunities, including scheduling of band and
rehearsals.
Assign other vocalists to lead songs in addition to your ability to lead songs.
Set annual goals for the worship ministry that are in line with our vision and then evaluate how
those goals were attained or modified during the year.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Above all, to have a heart like Christ
Experience in leading worship, vocalists, and musicians
Proficiency in playing piano or guitar with the ability to lead while playing
Skilled in the use of technology in worship, including but not limited to, Planning Center and
ProPresenter 7
Team player with a positive attitude.
