Faith United Methodist Church in Fort Myers, FL is seeking a Student Ministry Director to teach our young people about Jesus Christ, to lead them into building a thriving relationship with Him, and to direct efforts to help them use their gifts to serve others. This is currently a part-time position. However, it is our prayer that this will mature into full-time status. The new Director should have the ability to establish and maintain relationships with the youth and their families. Furthermore, the coordinator must be able to work as a team member on staff. Organizational skills and the ability to be a capable communicator are required. Preference will be given to applicants who have previous experience in a ministry of the United Methodist Church. Also, it is desirable for the applicant to maintain a personal and professional theology consistent with the Wesleyan understanding of the Christian faith. In order to effectively lead this youth program and be accessible, it is preferred that the director reside in Fort Myers.

We are a very seasonal church due to the fact that we are situated in a retirement area. In the summer months our average attendance remains around 350 or so. However, in the fall and winter months, our weekly attendance jumps to 750 or better. We have an active missions program and some wonderful kids in our Student Ministry. This church actively supports both local and international mission programs. We support a local food bank and our Clothes Closet Alliance is very active in helping those in need in our community.
